Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past! coming soon!

Samurai Pizza Cats is a truly a blast from the past. I did not grow up watching the show but I was familiar to it. The character designs were cool but I never watched it when it originally aired. The show was released in Japan in 1990 and was licensed by Saban Entertainment. When it first aired in USA in 1996, it had its fans but it had some conflicts due to dubbing concerns and story changes. Also, some episodes were banned and were not re-aired in the States.

Now, over three decades after its initial debut in Japan, Blast Zero and Red Dunes Games announced they are creating an action game starring the pizza loving feline samurais.

Little is currently known about the game. From the trailer, the game is presented to have different gameplay elements, including side scrolling beat ‘em up gameplay, along with limited open world exploration that can lead to random battle encounters. Samurai Pizza Cat: Blast from the Past currently does not have a final release date but is expected to come out in 2026.
